Dev Log #7 Chapter 4- lots to do!

Greetings Everyone!

I'd like to start with a big shout-out to those who downloaded and checked out my project- thank you so much! I hope you're enjoying the story.

So here's an update on chapter 4 and my (current) list of ToDos:

-Updating the script for chapter 4. The script I had just was not heading in the right direction so, I'm re-writing it for clarity.

-I'm removing the text-based side story extras from the VN and adding them to Discord. I'm doing this because I don't really like how the NVL looks and, it's less of a coding hassle.

Speaking of Discord; the server is configured and I'll be making it available to the public soon. There won't be much there at the moment but I'll be adding some content shortly. I'll drop a new dev log when that's ready.

In addition:

-Updating and fixing mesh and rigging for all character models.

-Create new clothes for all characters.

-Starting the modeling, and texturing of the human town of Twin Pines. This is the town Mica initially wanders into. The town becomes important later in the story.

-Building new human characters, particularly the Boone family.

-Building new furkin models; a bobcat, young Simone, and Simone's father.

And finally, I love experimenting! I'm working on a demo project with voiced story narration. I'm creating this outside the visual novel medium, it will be a straight-up video that I will post on YouTube.  At this point, there will be no major animation other than image pans and zooms. However, if there's enough interest, I'll add more animation and expand the format.

As you can see I have my work cut out for me so, I'm not exactly sure when the next release will be. November-ish? In the meantime I'll try to get some supplemental stuff out.

Thanks again for your support!

And "let us rise up from the ashes" (of our own mistakes)

Dunno, could be a line similar to that somewhere in the story! X3

Excellent!  That could well be something one of the furkin sages would say. Indeed,  you picked up on one of the primary themes of the story- renewal and what needs to be burned away to get there.
